Healthy soils = healthy humans! Explore the synergies between our gut microbiome and the soil microbiome and a whole list of health benefits
Join us at the Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI) Farm at Augusta Health to dig deep into the symbiotic relationship between soil health and human health. Participants will take a farm tour and participate in a discussion with AMI farmers and Augusta Health Gastroenterologists to explore the benefits of healthy soil on ecological systems and plants as well as on human gut health and our overall wellness.

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI) is a 501(c)3 educational nonprofit organization that cultivates healthy communities through food and education. We strive to reach our mission through a three-pronged approach. We offer an 18-month, tuition-free, Farm and Food System Fellowship. We support organizations, schools, and hospitals by integrating farming, nutritious food, and related education into food systems and outreach initiatives. And, we network regionally to build a food system that nourishes our bodies, our environment, and our economy.
These workshops are offered in partnership with Augusta Health. AMI and Augusta Health operate the AMI Farm at Augusta Health and raise awareness about the importance of healthy eating and sustainable growing practices.
