Come join us for a Bi+ Philly end-of-summer meet-up at waterfront oasis, Spruce Street Harbor Park! Join Bi+ Philly for our September end of summer waterfront-oasis meet up on Thursday September 16th 7-9pm @ Spruce Street Harbor Park! Spruce Street Harbor Park is a beloved seasonal park in the heart of Penn’s Landing. Come join us to lounge on colorful hammocks, enjoy Philly-inspired delicacies and stroll along a waterfront boardwalk. Spruce Street is not only a great place to spend time and connect, but it’s FREE and open to the public. We’ll meet in front of the Hilton Hotel (an easy-to-find landmark) at 7:00 and then head from there to the Boardwalk, the hammocks and/or to find yummy food (so please do your best to arrive by 7pm. We'll also provide an organizers number in an email leading up to the event for any latecomers to find us.) Come as you are and please bring a mask to respect COVID-19 guidelines while walking around the space and interacting. Feel free to remove it while eating and/or drinking. In case of inclement weather, we’ll still meet at the Hilton at 7:00 and go to a nearby mutually-agreed on restaurant, We’ll hang around until 7:10 and take it from there... Can’t wait to see you all there! What is Bi+ Philly? Bi+ Philly offers an opportunity for members of Philadelphia’s Bi+ community to come together once a month and rejoice in a shared element of identity. The Bi+ community is the single largest group within the LGBTQ+ community. But we often lack visibility, resources, and a space to be our entire selves. The term Bi+ is meant to be as inclusive as possible. Whether you identify as bisexual, pansexual, queer, fluid, same gender loving, heteroflexible, Two Spirit, or any other non-binary sexuality, you are welcome here. People of all gender identities are encouraged to attend. Bi+ Philly is a celebration of diversity, inclusion, and innovation. These community gatherings are a place to find social support, identification, belonging, and a whole lot of laughter (Bring your bi+ puns!). We meet every third Thursday of the month. The emphasis is on cultivating meaningful friendships and uplifting social networks. Come as you are, be who you are.
