NPAT invites you to join us for our second annual Party for the Prairie! This entertaining and inspiring dinner celebration will raise vital funds for the Lawther-Deer Park Prairie Education Program. We’ll be honoring a couple of prairie champions: The late Charlie Lundquist, a dedicated Lawther-Deer Park Prairie volunteer, and Dr. Rhonda Burrough, an Environmental Science and Chemistry teacher at Katy High School. There will be a raffle and live auctions, a prairie costume contest (!), and a test of your prairie knowledge. Join the fun and support prairie education! The Lawther-Deer Park Prairie program connects people of all ages in the Greater Houston Area to its coastal prairie heritage. We provide valuable lessons through programs at schools, videos, field trips to Lawther-Deer Park Prairie, teacher workshops, pocket prairies, and a new summer science camp for girls. The Native Prairies Association of Texas (NPAT) is a nonprofit membership organization and an accredited land trust. Our mission is dedicated to the conservation, restoration, and appreciation of native prairies, savannas, and other grasslands in Texas.
