Steen Metz will share his story of survival, take questions & sign books
Steen Metz, a local resident and member of the speaker's bureau of the Illinois Holocaust Museum in Skokie will share his experiences of how he and his mother survived during their time in the Czechoslovakian work camp they were taken to after being arrested in their home in Odense, Denmark. His father did not survive. He has chronicled his story in his memoir, A Danish Boy in Theresiendstadt published in 2011. This event is appropriate for students in Grade 6 and older.
