Join the Latino Outdoors community and City of San Mateo for the family friendly Annual Bayfront Cleanup! The Bayfront Cleanup is an annual waterway and land cleanup held in the month of September. It’s San Mateo's largest, longest-running volunteer shoreline cleanup event and brings community awareness to cleaning up and protecting our marine environment in the San Francisco Bay. City of San Mateo Public Works Department coordinates the event in partnership with the California Coastal Commission and County of San Mateo. The event collects debris data as part of the International Coastal Cleanup, a worldwide event by the Ocean Conservancy. Please bring water, sturdy shoes, sun protection (hat/sunscreen) and dress in layers! Clean up gear and tools will be provided. How to register: 1.
