Volunteer with United Way of Southeast Louisiana in Chalmette to distribute water to households recovering from Hurricane Ida. United Way of Southeast Louisiana is recruiting volunteers to assist with a water distribution at the Walmart in Chalmette, LA, on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Join us to help provide relief to families impacted by Hurricane Ida. Volunteers must be comfortable working outdoors and are required to wear a face mask. For more than 90 years, no other nonprofit organization in the area has taken such a broad, objective view of the community as a whole like we do at United Way of Southeast Louisiana. We spend a great deal of time identifying, assessing and monitoring the most pressing needs in our region.
