Two of SC's brightest will share success stories and unveil new innovation opportunities during this upscale rooftop networking event. With 50+ STEM classes and opportunities to study everything from robotics to biochemistry, the Governor's School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) helps position graduates to succeed in a competitive, high-tech job market. Just ask Wilson White, Google's Senior Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy, who is joining us all the way from Mountain View, CA. Wilson advises lawmakers, regulators and thought leaders across the globe on the rapidly changing mobile landscape and the societal implications of emerging technologies. He is also an angel investor. Wilson will share how GSSM changed his life, and give insight about Google investments, how the tech giant supports startup founders and he'll share his own investment philosophy. Also joining us is Danny Dorsel, an engineer and educator who is the newly appointed president of GSSM. One of his main goals is to forge partnerships with more SC businesses. He'll tell us about new opportunities to innovate and collaborate with some of the brightest young minds in South Carolina. After we hear from our speakers, guests are welcome to enjoy hors d'oeuvres and beverages while networking inside The Upper Room and on the Rooftop Garden overlooking beautiful downtown Greenville. SCHEDULE 5:45 - 6:10pm Event Check-in - 2nd Floor 6:10 - 7:00pm Speakers - 2nd Floor 7:00 - 8:00pm Business Networking - 2nd Floor & Rooftop Garden PARKING & CHECK-IN The Upper Room is located in the same building as the Sushi Go restaurant, across the street from the Hyatt Regency hotel. The entrance is on College Street behind a row of rentable electric bicycles. Park in one of the five nearby public parking garages. Doors open at 5:45pm. Take the stairs or elevator to the second floor to check in before speakers begin at 6:10pm. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION We ask that you do not attend if you have a fever, persistent cough, have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and have not been tested yourself, are awaiting a COVID-19 test result, or are not feeling well. What additional protocols & procedures have been put into place due to COVID-19? We will be implementing additional protocols to ensure the safety of all guests, as this is our number one priority.
