Tulsa Community WorkAdvance is offering no-cost firefighter training to current Oklahoma-certified EMTs. Requirements: Must have an Oklahoma EMT certification Must be able to pass a background check Must be able to pass a drug screen Must be able to perform physical work like bending, stooping and heavy lifting Must have a valid driver's license You will receive: FREE tuition and books FREE turnout gear & self-contained breathing apparatus during training A personal career coach while in training Training details: 8 Week Training Class begins in mid-September Classes held Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Key Concepts Candidate Physical Abilities Test preparation Haz Mat Awareness & Operations Vehicle Extraction Flammable Liquids & Gases Calling & Responding to the MAYDAY Standpipe Life in the Firehouse Classes start this September and space is very limited!
