Thank you! --- - POSITION OVERVIEW - At Retrospekt, we restore vintage items and electronics to look and perform as well as they did in their prime. Our Fulfillment Associates play the critical role of carefully packaging and shipping orders for our customers in a timely manner. These individuals also assist with inventory management tasks and help maintain the overall organization of our order fulfillment department. --- - JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - The responsibilities of this position include: - Processing and sorting incoming orders - Reading packing slips/purchase orders and locating products - Packaging items carefully using appropriate packaging materials - Purchasing shipping labels and filling out necessary paperwork/documentation - Taking inventory of merchandise and supplies - Operating warehouse equipment, including carts, dollies, and pallet jacks, to move merchandise about our facility - Maintaining and improving the organization and cleanliness of the fulfillment area - Contributing ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures - Assisting the team with other tasks as needed --- - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Candidates must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) to qualify for this position. We are looking for a positive, hard-working, and reliable individual with excellent organizational skills. No specific job experience is required, but prior warehouse or order fulfillment experience is a plus! Being able to accurately multitask and maintain great attention to detail while fulfilling orders is crucial in this position. The ideal candidate will have a curious spirit - someone who is eager to grow, ask questions, and learn new tasks. Being comfortable with hearing and applying constructive feedback is crucial. Since we are a small company that is always striving to grow and change for the better, we greatly value flexibility. Self-motivated individuals will thrive in this role, as the nature of this position is rather independent once training has been completed. However, being able to work in a team environment and take direction from management and supervisors is also necessary. Anyone who is passionate about photography, music, or vintage items (bonus points for all three) will have plenty to talk about around the water cooler. If this description sounds like you, we would love to hear from you! --- - HOURS AND BENEFITS - Applicants must be able to work 40 hours weekly in order to be eligible for this position. Retrospekt’s operating hours for all full-time staff members are 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday, with our workday ending at 4pm on Fridays. Evening and weekend hours are not available (except for the rare instance when our team is working to meet a tight deadline!). Retrospekt is closed for most federal holidays. Retrospekt offers medical, dental, vision, and life insurance after 90 days of employment. Employees also have the option of contributing to a Simple IRA retirement plan (with company matching program) after the 90-day benefits waiting period. Our staff is a pack of excitable (and somewhat obsessive) retro tech lovers, breathing new life into old devices in an ongoing effort to preserve a unique experience for a new generation. We're the protectors of the obsolete, a tongue-in-cheek title for our efforts - shrugging off a consumer culture fueled by consumption of the new, and those that won't invest themselves in curiosity, indulge in a little eccentricity, and discover something magical. These products that still prove to be so useful and enjoyable shouldn’t be haphazardly discarded, simply left to decay (or never decay, because plastic) in some landfill. Our team gives them a new life. We faithfully restore each item until it performs like it was meant to right out of the box, giving customers a true experience that refuses to be pushed out by the whims of the latest technological trend.
