Description
Warehouse Assistant, Asbestos Abatement Contractor receives, stocks, organizes and re-stocks all supplies, tools, and equipment. The position maintains the warehouse organization and cleanliness and coordinates disposal waste pickups with landfill. This individual will also be required to maintain equipment in clean and proper working order either by taking items for repair or repairing it themselves.
Responsibilities
• Receive incoming all incoming deliveries of equipment, tools, and materials from jobs.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks and delivery vehicles.
• Pull and load materials and fill supply orders requested for jobs.
• Keep accurate records of supplies on hand, ordering of supplies, and maintain proper levels of supplies.
• Assist in maintaining shop and related tools and equipment in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop.
• Keep work trucks and trailers washed and clean.
• Pick up and deliver supplies to various locations in San Francisco and the Bay Area.
• Monitor and handle equipment, tool dispatch, loading and unloading of products.
• Schedule disposal of waste to landfill, and coordinate with the office with paperwork.
• Adhere to rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
Skills
• Experience with basic mechanical skills (minor equipment repairs).
• Must read and write at a level required for successful job performance.
• Must communicate effectively orally and in writing in English, Spanish is a plus.
• Possess a valid California Driver’s license
Experience
• One year warehouse experience or logistics experience is required.
• Familiar with the construction industry a must.
• Intermediate skills in word, excel, and google email and sheets.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
