Press release from the Charter School of Wilmington:
Aug 31, 2021
This year's international competition included teams from 34 states, 4 Canadian provinces, and 3 Chinese high schools. Because of the pandemic, the competition was held virtually this year, although the current issue "Water Resource Management: Local Control and Local Solutions" focused on the Ogallala aquifer in this year's host state, Nebraska. Students tested for five hours on Monday, July 26, in areas of aquatic ecology, forestry, soils and land use, wildlife, and the current issue. On Tuesday, July 27, the team presented a 20 minute oral presentation of a proposed management plan for a problem scenario.
