4th Annual WSU Cross Country Alumni Relay Location: Lowell Blanchard Track at WSU Stadium 10:00am-1:30pm 4th Annual WSU Cross Country Alumni Relay Location: Lowell Blanchard Track at WSU Stadium 10:00-10:30 AM - Check-in at stadium11:15 AM - Start of relay (on track this year): 2-person teams, 3x1600 for each runner!12:15 PM - Kids' Fun Run (400 or 800 meters)12:30-1:30 PM - Lunch at track Wayne State University believes that intercollegiate athletics are an important and wholesome adjunct to the principal purposes of the University:  (1) the advancement of knowledge through research and investigation; and (2) the dissemination of knowledge through teaching.  To that end, participants in intercollegiate athletics must be, first and foremost, students whose fundamental aim is to obtain a sound education.A major mission of the University is to achieve an increasing level of excellence in the quality of its programs and to enhance the visibility and recognition of the University as a whole.  Students who participate in intercollegiate athletics are directly involved in the implementation of this mission of excellence, and by such participation, provide a unifying objective of community and University.
