DANVERS, MA — The temporary pop=up park in Danvers is looking for local musicians to help provide a soundtrack to the final weeks of summer. Acts are being booked for Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m. Local musicians looking for exposure are invited to contact [email protected]. This past spring, town officials sought grant awards, donations and good word-of-mouth from the community as it anticipated installing the public seating and game area at the corner of Maple and Conant streets. The temporary park was planned to be open seasonally each spring through the fall with the possibility that it could be moved to different areas of the town. The town successfully raised $8,000 in donations, triggering $16,000 in matching funds from MassDevelopment. Did you find this article useful? Invite a friend to subscribe to Patch.
