BRAINTREE, MA — A Braintree man was arrested Tuesday after police said he robbed a Rockland Trust bank on Washington Street. Police said the robbery happened just after 11 a.m., Monday at the bank's branch at 405 Washington St. Police said David Poulos, 33, of Braintree and Rockland, presented a note to the bank teller, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. Police said no weapon was showed, and Poulos ran away after getting the money. Braintree police officers were on the scene within seconds. Officers set up a search perimeter, with the help of a Quincy police K-9 unit and a Massachusetts State helicopter. The search continued for over an hour before, police called it off. Braintree detectives and FBI agents used evidence Massachusetts State Police collected at the scene to identify Poulos and got a warrant for his arrest out of Quincy District Court. He was arrested by FBI agents in Lynn and taken into custody on two probation warrants. Poulos was also convicted in 2017 for robbing the same Rockland Trust bank in September 2016. Police said they believe Poulos was also involved with robbing the same bank on July 27, 2021. He's now facing charges connected to both incidents and will be arraigned in Quincy District Court.
