The City of Roanoke, in working with our local partners, has pre-set barricades near street locations that are considered at-risk, from the remnants of Hurricane Ida that are expected to pass through our area over the next 28 hours. The entire region remains in a Flash Flood Watch. The Roanoke City Emergency Management Team will remain in contact with the National Weather Service and Virginia Department of Emergency Management as our region remains prepared.
Please note the following Hurricane Ida Pre-Set Barricade Street Locations:
9th & 10th and Campbell Both sides of Shaffers X-ing Cravens Creek & Deyerle Cravens Creek & Crestmoor Wise & Indian Village Vale & Kermit Vale & Gus Nicks Baldwin & Tuck Tuck & Eastern 13th & Eastern Updates will be provided to the public through the City's website and on the City's social media platforms in response to local weather conditions.
