NEW HAVEN, CT — A 24-year-old man was critically injured in a daytime shooting Tuesday in New Haven, according to police.
New Haven police received a Shotspotter alert around 12:10 p.m. to gunfire on Whalley Avenue between Norton Street and Winthrop Avenue, according to officials.
Responding officers found a 24-year-old New Haven resident injured by the gunfire. He was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was treated for life-threatening injuries and was listed in critical condition, according to police.
