Westfield Businesswoman Wants Safer Buses For Special Needs Kids

WESTFIELD, NJ — Assemblyman Jon Bramnick will hold a press conference with Cranford parent and Westfield real estate agent Jenn Love Wednesday to advocate for legislation to make school buses safer for students with special needs, in part by including GPS tracking. "Emma's Law" (A-2027) — introduced by Bramnick and named after Love's teenage daughter Emma —would ensure that buses for special needs students are equipped with a GPS and other equipment to help keep students safe. Stories abound about special needs being left behind on school buses, or dropped off in the wrong place. Jenn Love, who runs a real estate office in Westfield, has been a strong advocate for Emma and children like her. Last summer, she shined a light on the issue of special needs students missing school and not understanding remote learning.
