Press release from the Arlington Chamber of Commerce - Blog: 9/1/2021 ​Prior to working for the Chamber, I was the Events Manager for a nonprofit in Washington D.C. for nearly 10 years. There, I was involved in the production of well over 1,000 events and learned that the key to event management is to put the audience first and make sure every gathering adds value and improves attendees' lives in some way. I also came to appreciate that the biggest event challenges are the greatest opportunities to show your commitment to an event's success. Outside of work, I'm an empty nester and very proud mom of 18 and 21 year old sons away at college. I spent most of my adult life in Bethesda, MD and just recently became an Arlington resident. What I have to come to like most about Arlington is its walkability to stores and restaurants, its multitude of running paths and bike lanes, and how the county supports its communities in need. I'm excited to be part of the Chamber's long history of supporting Arlington business and am looking forward to meeting all of our members at the events.
