All individuals arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. REPORTS BURGLARY, 2021-08300030, 1900 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 4:08 a.m. on August 30, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just occurred. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who stated that she awoke to the known male suspect allegedly attempting to sexually assault her. The victim was able to safely exit the residence and contact police. Arriving officers gave lawful commands for the suspect to exit the residence with no response. Officers entered into the residence and took the suspect into custody without incident. Freddy Santiago Rivadeneira Silva, 23, of Falls Church, Va., was arrested and charged with Burglary with Intent to Commit Rape and Attempted Rape. He was held on no bond.
