Press release from the Howard County Government: 08/31/2021 The victim was treated and released from the hospital.  Howard County police are investigating a non-fatal shooting late Monday, Aug. 30, in Columbia.  At approximately 11 p.m., police were called to the 5500 block of Cedar Lane for a report of shots fired. They located Kyjuan Jennings, 20, of Columbia, nearby suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he was treated and released.  Through investigation, detectives believe Jennings was alone in his vehicle in a parking lot and was approached by suspects from another vehicle. Jennings was shot and the suspects fled. Police found evidence at the scene that multiple shots had been fired.  The motive is unknown at this time and there is no suspect information.
