Danbury, CT – The Northwest Connecticut NEXT GEN Manufacturing Partnership will be is hosting a "Manufacturing Hiring Event" available to Danbury and surrounding town residents on Sept. 15.
The event will be from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. at Naugatuck Valley Community College, 9 West St. Danbury, across the street from the Danbury Public Library. Free parking vouchers will be distributed on site for participants to park at the Terrance McNally Patriot Garage, at 21 Delay Street, across from the Danbury Ice Arena.
This is an opportunity for those who are unemployed or looking to make a career change, to learn about various career opportunities that could be available to them in the manufacturing field. Advance registration is available online.
Representatives from local manufacturers, the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board, Naugatuck Valley Community College and the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce will be on site to review various opportunities with all who are interested. This event is an open house format, the public is invited to attend anytime that fits their schedule during the event. Resumes are recommended.
The NEXT GEN Partnership is a region wide, industry-led effort to promote the benefits of manufacturing careers to key target audiences, as well as provide all local education programs with insights on the latest industry trends and curriculum changes needed to train new manufacturing talent.
