Press release from the Baltimore County Police Department: August 31, 2021 UPDATE (August 31, 2021 9:06 p.m.): On August 30, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 34-year-old Akeem Peterson of the 200 block of Hammershire Rd., 21136. He's charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, firearm use in a violent crime, two counts of disturbance of school operation and several other assault and firearm violations. Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating him. Just before 3 p.m. on August 30, Peterson pulled a gun and discharged several rounds at victims during a fight outside of New Town High School, located in the 4900 block of New Town Blvd. No one was struck by gunfire. Peterson fled the scene before police arrived. He is described as being 5'7, 140-pounds with black hair and brown eyes. "RIP Bernard" is tattooed on his right forearm and "RIP L.F" is tattooed on his left hand. If you have any information about Peterson's whereabouts or have information related to this incident, please call detectives at 410-307 2020.   ORIGINAL (August 30, 2021 7:16 p.m.): Police Investigate Shots Fired in Owings Mills Police investigate shots fired in the 4900 block of New Town Boulevard just before 3 p.m. A preliminary investigation revealed that a fight led to a suspect pulling and discharging a handgun. No one was struck by gunfire.
