DENVER, CO — Colorado businesses are among the fastest-growing private companies in the United States, according to a new list released by Inc.com. The annual list highlights 5,000 of the country's fastest-growing companies, which are ranked by overall revenue growth over a three-year period. The top 500 are then featured in the September issue of Inc. Magazine. Honorees must apply to be selected. In total, this year's honorees brought in $248 billion in revenue and added more than 2.5 million jobs to the U.S. economy. Overall, the company recorded a year-over-year growth of 48,345 percent. Companies that have made the list in the past include Pandora, 7-Eleven, Toys R Us, Zipcar and Zappos.com
