'Hamilton' Tickets Officially On Sale For Austin Show

AUSTIN, TX — America's favorite Broadway show is making its way to the Live Music Capital of the World this December. "Hamilton," the Broadway show written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, will have performances Dec. 7-19 at Bass Concert Hall in Austin. Tickets are set to go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9 at at BroadwayinAustin.com or texasperformingarts.org. The show is presented by Producer Jeffrey Seller, Broadway in Austin and the Texas Performing Arts, officials said. When tickets go on sale, prices will range from $49 to $179 with a select number of premium seats available from $249 for all performances. Officials said there will be a lottery for 40 $10 seats for all performances. Lottery details will be announced closer to the engagement. The show is directed by Thomas Kail, choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, produced by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman and The Public Theater, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. The musical is based on Ron Chernow's acclaimed biography. The show has won a Tony, Grammy and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors, officials said.
