Here are the top stories in Austin today: A child battling COVID-19 died over the weekend marking the first child virus-related death in the county since the pandemic begun in 2020. (Austin Patch) As coronavirus cases decrease across the metro, Austin's health authority said it's important to remain "vigilant." (KVUE.com) Funeral services have been set for Austin PD Officer Randolph "Randy" Boyd in Killeen Friday. Boyd, who died of COVID-19 last week, worked at the department since 2014.
