The Knox County Sheriff's Office Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal accident where a pedestrian was struck by a semi-trailer truck in the 11400 block of Parkside Drive/Turkey Cove area just after 4:30am.
Officers are asking motorist to avoid the area as the road will remain closed until approximately 8:30. The identification of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
More information will be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
