By John Gibson, WNIN Sept. 1, 2021 Health officials in Dubois County are urging eligible residents to "Drive-Thru to Fight the Flu." The COVID-19 pandemic is not the only concern of health officials, as flu season approaches. The Dubois County Health Department says it will offer its first drive-thru high dose-only flu clinic for residents 65 and older Thursday morning. The event is planned from 8:30 to 11:30 at the department's newly constructed drive-thru at 1187 S. St. Charles Street in Jasper. The department says the flu vaccine is covered by Medicare or private health insurance. Residents are urged to have ID and Medicare or insurance cards with them. In a release, the Dubois County department said with Covid-19 on the rise, the drive-thru is a safe way to get vaccinated against the flu without leaving your car. The department said more dates and times for drive-thru events will be announced. WNIN is the NPR/PBS affiliate in Evansville, Indiana.
