My name is Darlene and I have worked for 45 years as a professional hair dresser and cosmetologist/ salon owner. For the last 20 years I was the director for an east coast regional salon who catered to many assisted living and senior citizen homes. On my weekends I started doing companion work for my clients who needed assisted living care. Some of my clients were independent living in individual homes while others were in the assisted living groups. I realized that although these homes were well equipped with nurses and aides, they lacked hands on loving care for their residents. I have retired as the director of regional operations so I'm very flexible with my time. Outside of caring for one very spoiled cat I have no other commitments. My life is incomplete unless I am taking care of people so this position I am seeking in your home is therapy for me as well! I could list a number of tasks and chores but it's probably easier for you to tell me what you need. Call me any time!! I am available immediately for companion work which can include light house duties, meal prep, personal care to include dressing, hair/makeup if desired, nails and grooming. I love to read, sing, dance and keep a happy spirit with my clients. My purpose is to relieve you, the family, of the day to day chores that are needed to take care of your parent. I am not here to take over but to add to the quality of life! Peace of mind is so important when you're watching over your parents and I intend to be that help source to put your mind at ease!! I AM ALSO available for in house hair and grooming (hand/foot nail trim, shave, haircut, perm or color) specializing in people who have a difficult time getting to the salon or barber!!
