CONCORD, NH — After a fact-finding trip to Kentucky to check out the state's response to a surge in coronavirus cases, Gov. Chris Sununu returned to New Hampshire and did not feel well. On Wednesday, his press office issued a statement saying, out of an abundance of caution, he would self-isolate, postpone the day's Executive Council meeting, and get tested. Sununu, who is vaccinated, took two rapid antigen tests as well as a polymerase chain reaction test, all of which came back negative. "I appreciate all the well wishes," he said. "I woke up with symptoms similar to Covid and out of an abundance of caution (took the tests). I am going to rest up, and look forward to getting back to the State House soon."
