PITTSBURGH, PA — The Doobie Brothers are postponing this weekend's scheduled concert in Pittsburgh and several others because of COVID-19 concerns. The band made the announcement via social media. The Doobie Brothers will postpone their four upcoming shows as a member of the touring personnel has tested positive with COVID-19. The shows in Clarkston, Burgettstown, Toledo, and Cincinnati will be rescheduled and new dates will be announced shortly. pic.twitter.com/hHYgN6ueAi— The Doobie Brothers (@TheDoobieBros) September 1, 2021 The band had been scheduled to play The Pavilion at Star Lake on Sept. 4. They originally announced a Pittsburgh date in 2020, but it had to be postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak. Their rescheduled tour marks the first time in a quarter of a century that the band will tour with singer-keyboardist Michael McDonald, the voice behind classic hits such as "What a Fool Believes," and "Minute By Minute."
