The Des Plaines Valley Mosquito Abatement District has advised that due to elevated levels of West Nile Virus (WNV) and the mosquitoes that carry it, adult mosquito spraying operations have been scheduled for this evening, Tuesday, August 31, 2021. The work is schedule to begin at 7:30 PM and be completed by midnight, weather permitting, in all areas of La Grange.
Many things can be done by residents to minimize mosquito activity and WNV transmission, such as eliminating sources of standing water on property (unrimmed tires, trash cans, buckets), limiting outdoor activity at dusk and wearing long sleeves/pants and loose fitting light colored clothing.
