Sounds On The Street To Send Off Summer With Live Music

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Live tunes will fill the air in downtown Glen Ellyn for Sounds on the Street, an end-of-summer celebration set for Sept. 3. Spectators can stroll around Main Street with a snack or a cocktail from select downtown restaurants or bring a chair to snag a spot by the stage. Sounds on the Street features a performance by SEMPLE Band, which is headed up by Keith Semple. Semple was one of the top 20 final contestants on one season of "The Voice" on NBC, the band's website states. SEMPLE Band takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Starting at 7 p.m., you can grab dinner or drinks at participating restaurants downtown and bring your food and beverages out onto Main Street. Seven restaurants will be taking part in the Sounds on the Street festivities. These include: MarchéA Toda Madre Main Street Pubko-ze Wine RoomMoreMain Street will close to traffic between Pennsylvania and Crescent Boulevard starting at 4:30 p.m. This family-friendly event is free to attend, but wristbands are required upon entry.
