Forest Preserve Seeks Volunteers For National Cleanup Day

FRANKFORT, IL — The Forest Preserve District of Will County is asking Frankfort Township residents to pitch in for National Cleanup Day Sept. 18. The cleanup will take place along Old Plank Trail Road from Harlem Avenue to Pfeiffer Road from 9-11 a.m. Participants should park at Prestwick Country Club, 601 Prestwick Drive in Frankfort. Participants will be required to wear masks, per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for large outdoor gatherings. Registration for the event is required. To register, call (815) 722-7364, or email [email protected]. Participants are also advised to dress for the weather.
