Press release from the City of Glendora: 08/30/2021 2:42 PM IMPORTANT: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information Updated Loraine Avenue Closure: Through September 5, 2021   Crews will continue rebuilding the railroad crossing on Loraine Ave. in the city of Glendora, as part of the 9.1-mile Foothill Gold Line light rail project. This work requires a ten-day extension of the closure to continue performing underground utility work, median construction, roadway paving, and new curb & gutter. Construction at the Loraine Ave. crossing included the permanent closure and removal of the City Maintenance Yard access road, the land is part of the Foothill Gold Line light rail project and will be fully utilized for its completion. WHEN Ongoing and continuing thru September 5, 2021 (extended), Loraine Ave. will be fully closed to all traffic (vehicular and pedestrian) at the railroad crossing 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Route 66 (just south of the crossing) and Lemon Ave. (north of the crossing) will remain open and accessible by way of detour routes. • Crews plan to work daily during allowable shift hours of 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Saturday.
