BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Chicago man resisted arrest and struggled with police officers after they responded to a house for a domestic battery report Tuesday afternoon, Bolingbrook police said. Officers were dispatched to a Bolingbrook house around 3:27 p.m. Tuesday for a report of domestic battery. When they got there, police said the victim was in front of the house with "obvious, non-life-threatening" injuries. Police said when they identified the offender as Willie D. Brown, of the 1600 block of North Austin Avenue in Chicago, he refused to cooperate with officers, threatening them as he walked back into the house and attempted to close the door on officers. The 31-year-old man continued to threaten police once inside and after resisting officers, he was tased but not secured, according to officials. Brown got control of the Taser at one point, police said, but he dropped it as he ran from the house. Police caught the man after a brief pursuit, and Brown continued to fight with officers, and he was taken into custody after an extended struggle, police said. Two officers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and police said Brown "complained" of minor injuries and was evaluated at a hospital before cleared. Brown was arrested and charged with domestic battery, two counts of aggravated battery to a police officer and three counts of resisting an officer. He was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office.
