CORNELIUS, NC — Three people were arrested this week in Cornelius and now face charges that include driving while impaired and numerous counts of obtaining property through false pretense, according to the most recent police blotter. Two people were bitten by animals, and two vehicles were broken into the week in Cornelius. Cornelius police cited more than two dozen drivers for infractions that included speeding in a school zone, unsafe passing with a yellow line and expired registration. Cornelius Police Department made the following arrests between Aug. 25 - Aug 31, 2021: Zinaida Bolt, 24, was arrested Aug. 27 on Interstate 77 Exit 28 ramp, charged with driving while impaired. Chelsea Weeks, 25, was arrested Aug. 28 on Denae Lynn Drive, charged with eight counts of felony obtaining property through false pretense. William Beard, 32, was arrested Aug. 31 on Pine Ridge Road, charged with driving while impaired.
