Here are the top stories today in Phoenix: The Biden administration's approval of the biggest SNAP boost in the history of the program will provide relief to the hundreds of thousands of food-insecure people in Maricopa County. The benefit increases are set to begin in October. (Phoenix Patch) A woman who says she was arrested and charged for DUI and hit-and-run even though there was video proof that she was not the perpetrator is seeking $300,000 in a wrongful arrest lawsuit against Scottsdale police. (KTAR.com) Data from June that was released Tuesday show that Phoenix is the first in the nation for year-over-year home price increases, at 29.3 percent. The jump for June across the nation was a much lower 18.5 percent. (AZ Big Media) Ari Levin, executive director for The Madison Center for the Arts, which recently opened in Phoenix, is working to bring live performances back to the city after the pandemic shut them down. The new venue features at 904-seat auditorium and is just starting out its first season.
