Building Attendant I Park University The Building Attendant I performs light maintenance and cleaning duties throughout campus. This position is responsible for keeping public areas clean and orderly, minor maintenance and setting up/tearing down of campus events. Position Accountabilities: 1. Safety measures - Tasks will be completed in a timely manner using good workmanship type habits. Work areas and equipment used will be kept clean and in good repair. Tasks are performed by using a safe and proper manner. 2. Service-Oriented - Focus efforts on ensuring safety, building cleanliness, environmental protection, and stewardship of Park University assets. Continually assess the needs of customers and their satisfaction with programs and services. 3. Communication - Foster teamwork, collaboration and cooperation across all departmental boundaries. 4. Professionalism and integrity - All duties performed are done so in a highly professional manner that reflects the department's core values. Courteous, conscientious, and respectful in dealings with others. Conduct is fair, ethical and honest. Position Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License required. Ability to read and write the English language. Preferable 1 -2 years' experience in cleaning and light maintenance. Ability to apply common sense, carry out verbal, written and diagrammatic forms. Customer relations and Communication skills are considered critical to this position. Excellent customer service skills required. Must work well with others. Ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically with all business and professional visitors including parents, staff, students and faculty Must have night and weekend availability. At this time position will be five 8 hours shifts Tuesday thru Saturday, 11 am - 7:30 pm. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 80 pounds and use a 10' ladder. Climbing of stairs is required.
