Express Employment Professionals is now seeking Top Talent for Machine Operator/General Laborer positions! This long term opportunity is for a premier Mt. Angel, OR manufacturing company looking to invest in solid core employees. Position Summary: Contribute to the efficient operation of the Capsulation Department by operating and monitoring capsulation machines. Perform various production and labor duties in a team. Position starts at $14/hour. With exceptional attendance and performance this associate would be eligible for a pay increase upon core employment hire. Essential Functions: -Process products using proper procedures, including proper machinery settings, correct product weight, good product appearance and quality. -Maintain required paperwork and logs associated with department. -Maintain daily production schedules. -Follow all changeover and clean-up procedures. -Maintain clean machines, equipment, and department. -Follow all safety procedures established for department and plant. -Communicate with Manufacturing Supervisor, and other departments regarding daily operations. -Maintain excellent attendance. Physical Requirements: -Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50lbs. Equipment Used: -Capsulator equipment, polishers, metal detectors, blender, scoops, drums, scales, and mills. Work Environment: -May require mandatory overtime during peak periods or as business needs dictate. -Requires ability to work in an environment that contains fumes, dust, odors, noise, chemicals, temperature variations, and varying levels of ventilation. -Requires team-orientation, common sense and good judgment, professional behavior, effective communication (oral and written), and problem solving skills. -Requires ability to take and follow directions, time management skills, organizational development and improvement. Qualifications: -Good knowledge of math, including metric weights and measures. -Experience with reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending fluent English. -Demonstrated reliability and attention to quality. -Experience within a production environment preferred. Schedule: Monday-Friday (occasional Saturdays), 6:00am-2:30pm Pay Rate: $14.00/hr Evaluation-to-Hire position; Long-Term opportunity!
