Storage Outlet is looking for motivated, talented and reliable team members to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of one of our self-storage facilities in South Gate. Responsibilities • Manage the day-to-day operations of the site, working closely with the District Manager and your property Co-Manager • Develop customer relationships by identifying their storage needs and providing solutions • Achieve occupancy, revenue and other objectives through unit rentals, insurance of rentals, and retail sales of moving supplies • Guide new customers through rental processes and agreements • Handle cash and balance receipts, pursue collections, process payments and make regular bank deposits with integrity • Ensure the facility meets the highest cleanliness standards. You accomplish this by cleaning units, sweeping, mopping, and other basic cleaning duties • On occasion, you may need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds • Weekends required • Other duties as assigned Qualifications • 2+ years of customer service experience (i.e. self-storage, retail sales, restaurant, sales associate, front desk, site management, and/or other customer-centered sales roles) • 1+ year of experience in a management or supervisory role preferred • Strong communication, math and computer skills • Valid Driver's License and auto insurance with access to reliable transportation • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, a college education is a plus Comprehensive Benefits Package • Outstanding company culture, including steady work hours and work/life balance • $500 retention bonus (paid after 90 days of employment) • Competitive starting pay • Health, dental, vision and life insurance offerings • Vacation and sick time accrued throughout the year, increasing with years of service
