Description

Captive born, healthy Cope's gray tree frogs need good homes (I didn't breed them, but I have been with them since they were eggs). These are relatively mellow frogs, much less anxious and jumpy than green tree frogs, especially after they learn that you are a source of food. They also have a lot of personality. They need to live in a reasonably big glass terrarium/vivarium with enough plants and leaves that they feel safe and comfortable, and I will ask about this when you contact me. They don't really need special heating or other accommodation. These little guys have been tested and are negative for chytrid, Perkinsea, and Ranavirus. They have had one screening for parasites which found no parasites. The terrarium next to my work-at-home space is beautiful. It's really lovely to glance over into my miniature jungle and see my tiny friend Evan hanging out on his branch or on a pothos leaf. I am not selling these, and will not ship them through the mail. I would love to have you come get them, and I'll be happy to advise you on setting up an environment for them. In lieu of an adoption fee, I am requesting that adopters donate to a reputable amphibian advocacy organization like the NC Zoo's Frog Conservation Programs or the NC Herpetological Society. More info here: https://nestlery.com/ (As you can see in the photos, they have spent some time in a screen terrarium -- lined with netting -- but this is not optimal.)
