Apartment Handyman Maintenance Position

Apartment Management company looking for full time self employed motivated, independent person with Maintenance experience to work with day to day maintenance issues and repairs in our apartment buildings on Southside of Chicago. Responsibilities: • Complete minor repairs within apartments and individual units, as well as common areas of buildings and grounds. • Clean interior and exterior areas of multi-unit properties, including vacuuming, mopping, trash pickup and emptying trash, window washing, and similar property needs. • Complete proactive building assessments and repairs, replacing light bulbs, smoke and carbon detectors, signage, and locks while attending to other building needs as necessary. • Attending to all snow and ice removal and salting all walks, entrances, stairs, and decks. • Attending to all landscaping needs, including lawn cutting and care, trimming, exterior grounds cleaning, and watering plants. • Meeting outside vendors and responding to tenant requests and additional property needs as they arise and are assigned by property management staff. Skills/Qualifications: • Must be able to perform physical labor that can involve heavy lifting, and traversing up and down multiple levels of buildings. • Past handyman, light repair and cleaning experience preferred. • Mechanical background and aptitude to attend to minor repairs, as well as painting and plumbing, preferred. • Strong prioritization, scheduling and multi-tasking skills for requests and responsibilities across property and tenant needs. • Strong communication and customer service skills. -tile repair -general cleaning and other day to day tasks in maintenance field Call 708-797-3646
