Defense contractor seeks experienced machinist lead for a fast-paced production environment with an emphasis on lean manufacturing. We are an established family owned company with more than 40 years of business in manufacturing for the defense industry. We offer competitive compensation based on experience and skill set. Full benefits package including medical, dental, 401K, vacation, holidays and profit share. Schedule is Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm. Sign-on bonus of $1000 available for qualified candidates. Good candidates possess the following skills: Minimum 2 years’ experience running and setting up horizontal lathes Able to read and interpret drawings Understand tolerances, what tools to use and how to read them Have an eye for efficiency and process improvement Good communication skills and works well with others Incredible attention to detail and takes pride in their work Preferred Skills: Experience with hard to machine alloys (Monel, Inconel, Stainless) Experience with cellular manufacturing concepts *Please respond with resume.
