Laurel Parc, a beautiful and upscale senior living community seeks an efficient Maintenance Assistant to be responsible for performing apartment repairs and general upkeep. This position is also responsible for other maintenance tasks such as light drywall repair, painting, and light plumbing, electrical and appliance repair. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent service to our residents.  Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour + $350 Sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment.  Responsibilities Provides routine and preventative maintenance for our 200+ apartment units and other common areas. Completes work orders and maintains maintenance work shop and storage rooms. Performs apartment turns in a timely manner to properly prepare for new residents who will be joining our community.   Other Job Duties Assures common areas and resident rooms are clean and not in need of repairs. Assures fixtures in the facility are maintained by replacing burnt out bulbs or providing other service as necessary. Repairs wood trim, cleans carpets and moves furniture.  Maintains a flexible demeanor with the ability to change gears easily. Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance. Displays excellent communication and remains calm and courteous under pressure.  Education & Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of maintenance experience and/or training required.
