4-Day Work Week, Monday-Thursday Major Responsibilities/Activities: •Ability to join parts by applying heat to permanently fuse the metal together. •Experience in operating hand-welding and/or flame-cutting equipment to join metal components or for the purpose of filling in spaces, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. •The welder monitors the fitting, burning, and all welding processes to avoid overheating of parts of materials relating to warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion. •Usage of overhead cranes to move large pieces of material. Physical Requirements: •Ability to lift 75lbs •Bending, Stooping, Kneeling and Reaching •Ability to stand for lengthy periods of time Required Skills: •Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience welding. •Ability to read small print on the shop drawings Education Requirement: •High School Diploma or Equivalent *The above position description is an outline of this position and does not contain a comprehensive listing of the day- to-day activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
