If you enjoy working outside, then please keep reading! We are seeking a Groundskeeper who will be responsible for the overall upkeep of the apartment community landscape and exterior image. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Job Duties: • Maintain the apartment community’s overall exterior appearance • Remove all litter and debris, heavy trash, and furniture left at the dumpster • Sweep and shovel driveways, sidewalks, parking lots, curbs, and dumpster areas • Perform basic maintenance activities within units or around the community • Maintain the ground equipment by making minor repairs and preventative maintenance as needed • Deliver communication to residents, attend and participate training seminars, and run errands as required Job Qualifications: • Must have a High School Diploma or GED • Must have basic aptitude and understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and functions • Experience or knowledge in lawn, tree, and shrub care is preferred • Must be able to work independently and have an eye for detail • Must be familiar with hand tools used in construction, maintenance, and landscaping, as well as motorized vehicles • Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and auto insurance • Must be comfortable working inside and outside in all types of weather • Prolonged standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting a maximum of 100 pounds and frequently lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required • Good hand/eye coordination is essential as well as the ability to walk up and down ladders and stairs and perform repetitive tasks Only candidates that can pass a background, BMV check, and drug screen will be considered.
