Wards Fruit and Produce, a local family run business, is looking to hire additional warehouse loaders. The ideal candidate be reliable and a team player with a "go-getter" attitude. Candidate will need to be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and be on their feet all day. Selected candidates will be responsible for performing all duties related to incoming and outgoing merchandise by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Loads, unloads and transfers merchandise to designated area in accordance with training procedures using Box Trucks and Carts. 2. Stocks merchandise in warehouse to include utilizing equipment and lifting and carrying merchandise to place on shelves. 3. Inspects merchandise for deficiencies or breakages prior to shipment or warehouse storage. 4. Records all merchandise discrepancies on appropriate paperwork. 5. Completes inventory preparation for warehouse stock. 6. Verifies merchandise and manually tags with tickets daily. 7. Organizes merchandise to prepare for shipment as needed. 8. Fills customer order in accordance with invoice, completes appropriate paperwork, and places a copy with the merchandise for shipment. 9. Prepares special promotional packages as needed. 10. Operates tape gun to seal boxes for shipment or stock daily. 11. Maintains a neat and orderly workplace at all times. Daily housekeeping duties to include moving pallets, sweeping, and removing/disposing of debris. 12. Follows safety procedures in accordance with approved training, and reports any dangerous conditions to management immediately. 13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
