Joey is currently bringing on pick up truck, cargo van or box truck owners to make local deliveries within the Columbus area on the Joey Driver app. We’ve been called the Uber or Doordash for personal items and purchases. Driving with Joey allows you to create your own schedule to earn an extra income. What to expect driving with Joey: · Access to currently available local delivery requests through the Joey Driver app. · Freedom to pick and choose the deliveries you would like to complete. o Drivers are able to schedule their deliveries with the customer at a time that works for both them and the customer. · Being your own boss. We do not have quotas or set days/hours to work. We have drivers that drive for Joey as a primary source of income and drivers that drive here and there for extra cash · Drivers are payed weekly on Tuesdays as 1099 contractors – Saturday through Friday pays out on Tuesday · Live phone and text support for any on the fly questions or issues Common deliveries: · Purchases – Furniture, DIY projects, auction pickups · Small package · Donations/gifts · Storage moves · And many more, we even did no contact gift delivery this past Winter! Pay: Drivers are guaranteed the first hour of pay; even if the delivery takes under an hour. If it goes over an hour, pay is by the minute until the delivery is complete. Rates below: · Pickup Truck $33.75/hr; $0.5625/min · Cargo/Sprinter Van $37.50/hr; $0.625/min · Box Truck $45/hr; $0.75/min *Drivers are also tipped through the app or in cash from customers. Joey does not take a percent of any tips!* How to get started: · Head over to getjoey.com/drivers to get registered. o We will give you a call when you’re registered · Complete the background and Motor Vehicle report · Verify the required items at getjoey.com/items o We require drivers to have a dolly, ratchet straps, and moving blankets. After 25 drives, Joey will fully reimburse any items needing to be purchased! · After that, you’re good to go! Depending on the background check, most drivers can be verified and driving in 2-4 days.
