JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for applicants who have experience leading construction teams on commercial job sites and in residential home projects. Please note this is a non-union job. The Carpenters Assistant Will: - Perform Light Demo as Needed, per job - Assist with rough framing and finish carpentry, and related work using a variety of tools and equipment The Lead Carpenter role will: - lead and execute rough framing and finish carpentry, and related work using a variety of tools and equipment - manage a team of 2-4 individuals on site at any given time, depending on the job. - overseeing all aspects of a project from demo to final punchlist & cleanup. - proactively communicate and identify any unsafe conditions, hazards, or code violations - perform physical tasks including heavy lifting - communicate job progress and material/labor requirements - other duties as required Requirements: 7-10 years experience in framing and trim carpentry (preferred) Detail-oriented. Team player. As a leader in the field, it is important you are a strong and clear communicator. Punctual Must own a basic set of tools. This job requires the ability to travel to different locations across the Chicago area, so reliable transportation is a must. Must take pride in work ethic and work completed. All applicants are required to pass a background check, and provide 2-3 professional references. Safety certification Job type: Full Time Lead Carpenter - Salary: $25-35/hr or commensurate with experience. We will evaluate salary 30 days after hire. Carpenters Assistant - $18/hr or commensurate with experience. Benefits include health benefits and paid time off.
