So are you a revisionist of history all the time, or only when it suits your silly arguments? Newsflash! Many of us were alive and remember well 1975. To his credit, President Ford was not like today's politicians. He was willing to reach across the isle and get balance in political decisions. That he would invite a freshman senator is telling of how motivated and capable Biden was. In the end, Ford just cut and run. We literally airlifted military and essential civilian personnel from the top of the embassy. The wives, children of servicemen, and all those who helped and supported us were just left behind, waving U.S. documents, crying and begging to not be left behind. It was gut wrenching. Many a man my age has gone to the grave with deep grief and guilt over what they were forced to leave behind. The blame rests with Ford, not Biden, Einstein.
